IXXO Cart Additional Support for Joomla 2.5 Released

The IXXO Cart team congratulates the Joomla community for the release of it's Latest Long Term Support (LTS) Joomla 2.5.0 package!

IXXO Cart Editions
IXXO Multi-Vendor and IXXO Cart Plus are currently available for Joomla 2.5, 1.7 and 1.5 
Support for Joomla 2.5, for IXXO Cart Basic and IXXO Multi-Store, will be released on Monday the 6th of February 2012.

The following is our plan for supporting older versions of Joomla:

• Support for Joomla 1.5 will continue through December 31st, 2012, with only major bugs being fixed.
• Support for Joomla 1.7 will continue through May 20th, 2012, with only major bugs being fixed.

After these dates, support for Joomla 1.5 and 1.7 will officially cease, and all products will be officially supported only with Joomla 2.5.

We highly encourage all our customers to plan to update to 2.5 and if you are still using 1.5 start planning to make the jump to 2.5!

 Upgrade from Joomla 1.7 to Joomla 2.5 is Free of charge

All existing IXXO Cart customers should check their license free upgrades period and make sure it is still valid. If your license free upgrades period has expired, you can just renew your free updates to bridge the gap and bring your cart up to date. This way your existing license will work just fine with IXXO Cart for Joomla 2.5.

The IXXO Cart update package from Joomla 1.7 to Joomla 2.5 will be available for download from the customer area on Monday the 30th of January 2012

Joomla! 2.5 is Just a Few Weeks Away

Joomla! 2.5 is around the corner with a planned release date before the end of February 2012.

Supporting the new Joomla! 2.5 release

We will try to get all our Joomla! extensions supported under 2.5 before the end of January 2012. We’re already hard at work to make sure that our products work with Joomla 2.5 and we expect that there will be no issues for those updating from Joomla 1.7 to 2.5!

Security Update
On July 16th, 2009 an exploit (SQLi LFI XSS vulnerability) issue was posted in Joomla Vulnerable Extensions List. This exploit was an SQL injection that has been corrected.
